Ibanez Headless Manuel Gardner Fernandes Signature Guitar MGFM10

German modern shred titan Manuel Gardner Fernandes just got a new headless signature guitar, the Ibanez MGFM10 (he’s been using a headless Ibanez QX54QM and an AZ before, as far as I know). While originally becoming a star through Instagram and Youtube, he’s made a name of himself through his progressive metal band Unprocessed. If you appreciate the percussive and technical style of Tim Henson or Scott LePage from Polyphia but want something heavier I think this might be right up your alley.

The Ibanez MGFM10 features:

  • Quilted maple top with nyatoh body in Obsidian Black Low Gloss
  • Parallel Wizard 3-piece roasted maple/bubinga neck (19mm thin all the way through)
  • Roasted birdseye maple fretboard with mother of pearl step off-set dot inlays
  • 24 Jumbo stainless steel frets
  • Ibanez Mono-Tune bridge and overall gold hardware
  • Passive (ceramic) Q58 pickups in both neck and bridge position (apparently designed by Ibanez especially for headless guitars)
  • 5-way pickup switch selector with alter switch mode (power tap) with single volume and tone knobs. According to Ibanez, the power tap feature allows you to get a total of 10 modes of which five offers realistic single coil sounds despite the two humbucker layout
