Solar A1.7 TBOP-29

Here’s a new launch from Solar Guitars: The Solar A1.7 TBOP-29. As the name implies – if you decode it a bit – it’s a 7-stringed A1/Type A model with Tri-Burst and Open Pore matte finish. Oh, and 29″ scale of course.

Besides that fantastic finish you get a swamp ash body with a set-through neck/body joint design, 29″ scale, a fast and thin C-shaped full-access maple neck with ebony fingerboard (24 stainless steel super jumbo frets) with the Solar logo on the 12th fret. Other features include the Evertune F-type bridge, Luminlay glow-in-the-dark side-dots, Solar locking tuners and a PPS nut (I’m guessing PPS is something similar to Tusq but without the copyright infringement?), 5-way pickup switch and one volume+one tone knob. Pickup-wise it’s armed with Duncan Solar humbuckers in both the neck and bridge position. I’ve got to say these Solar guitars come with some serious hardware these days.
